Requirements for receiving Western Union transfers in Polaris bank
  • Ten (10) digit Transfer control number
  • Acceptable means of Identification are:
    • Bank Verification Number (BVN)
    • Nigerian International Passport
    • Driver's License
    • Permanent INEC Voters card
    • International passport for foreign Nationals
  • Sender’s name and country of origin
  • Test question and answer (where applicable)
  • Expected amount

  • Sender’s information: Name, address, telephone number
  • Receiver’s information: Name, country
  • Acceptable means of Identification are:
    • Bank Verification Number (BVN)
    • Nigerian International Passport
    • Driver's License
    • Permanent INEC Voters card
    • International passport for foreign Nationals
  • Test question and answer (where applicable)
  • Amount to be sent in naira

A maximum send limit of 1,000 USD Naira equivalent per customer per quarter, as stipulated by the Central Bank of Nigeria.
